TROUBLE SHOOTING

POSSIBLE FAULTS ON ELECTRONIC DRYERS, CAUSES AND REMEDY

1. DRYER NOT DRYING

There is no contact brush-contact ring or no

earthening contact, machine works cca. 17

minutes, after that machine goes into

anticrease phase

Bad position of brush, earthening wire cut, bad

contact on earthening pin – make sure that the

contact is good

Heater does not work Change the heater

Safety thermostat switched off Filter in the door is not clean (clean it after each

drying phase)

Drum does not revolve (check the belt, el. motor)

2. DRY EFFICIENY BAD

Filter is not clean Clean the filter

To much wet in clothes – bad spin of

washing machine

Advise – washing machine with at least 900 rpm at

spin

3. DRYER OVERHEATS

Short circuit between potential collector on

the rib and the drum– machine dries 3

hours (this is maximum time)

Isolating ring does not isolate (check with ohm-

meter, without brush connector on the el. board) –

if necessary change the ring

Contact spring in the rib in bad position – make

sure the position is good

Brush causes short circuit – make sure the position

of brush is good

4. DRUM DOES NOT REVOLVE

Belt is cut Change the belt

Belt slips Clean the belt, pulley and drum with alcohol

Clothes to heavy because of bad spin Advise – washing machine with at list 900 rpm at

spin

Belt fell off the pulley Check the pulley position, replace the belt

el. motor, capacitor or electronic board in

malfunction

Change the part in malfunction
