Opening the CO
2
Cylinder Main Valve
To begin the fl ow of CO
2
, turn the valve on the
top of the Co
2
cylinder. The pressure gauge on the
regulator will begin to climb.
Turn the CO
2
shut off valve on the regulator to the
open position to allow CO
2
to travel through the air
line and into the coupler.
Adjusting the CO
2
Regulator
The pressure gauge monitors the air pressure inside
the lines and should be adjusted to read between
8-12 PSI.
The pressure can be adjusted at any time, as
needed. If the beer is very foamy, try turning the PSI
down. If the fl ow of beer is very weak, try turning
the PSI up.
After making any adjustment to the PSI, wait 5-10
minutes before attempting to pour another beer to
allow the pressure inside the lines to equalize.
To increase the PSI, turn the adjustment screw
clockwise.
To decrease the PSI, turn the adjustment screw
counter-clockwise.
Checking Connections For Leaks
Weak connection points can allow the escape of
CO
2
or allow air into the system, both of which can
cause weak beer fl ow or excessively foamy beer.
Leaking connections can sometimes be identifi ed by
hissing at the connection points. They can also be
identifi ed by spraying water on the connection point
and watching for bubbles to form.
If a leaking connection point is found, it should be
rectifi ed before attempting to use the system again.
Turn off the fl ow of CO
2
and replace any gaskets
or washers in the connection points. Tighten all nuts
with a wrench. Test the system again before using to
ensure all connection points are secure.
